This movie is based on the legendary CGBG bar and the bands that got their starts there. It stars some Harry Potter alums, and a Twilight alumna as well. It was a fun movie, and I really enjoyed it. I think anyone that's into punk music and biopics on musicians/music will enjoy this film.

Chef is a movie about this big deal chef, Carl Casper, that just has had it with his job in this upscale restaurant and wants to really go back to his roots. Casper buys a food truck, and alongside his best friend and his son, travels the country making awesome Cuban food. It's a story about family and doing the things that make you happy.

Comet is a heartbreakingly romantic film set in a parallel universe/what may happen type scenario. Staring Justin Long and Emmy Rossum, this is definitely one to watch while eating chocolate and drinking wine.

A gem by Quentin Tarantino, this movie is about a bellhop that meets a variety of characters in different rooms during New Year's Eve. I'm a huge fan of Tarantino, and this was a movie from him that I'd never heard a lot of hype about. It's definitely just as great as any other Tarantino film, and features all the quality and excitement you see in his other movies.

This movie is about a punk kid about to graduate from college that needs to figure out where his life's going to take him after graduation. This movie is one of Ben Affleck's first films, and is surprisingly great.

When a young girl runs away from home, she makes friends with an unsuspecting woman, who is also on the run. This movie is worth watching just for the famous faces - Blake Lively, Chloe Grace Moretz, and Eddie Redmayne.

I was intrigued with this movie the entire way through. A couple goes to a family cabin in the woods for their honeymoon, and then some weird stuff starts happening. I highly recommend this movie if you're a fan of thrillers/scary movies.

Okay, okay. I know this movie got a ton of bad reviews, but I loved it. I read the book several years ago, and thought that the film stuck to the book very well. If you haven't heard about it, the movie is about a man who's girlfriend is brutally raped and murder. Everyone thinks he did it. On the one-year anniversary of her death, he wakes up to horns growing out of his head and people start telling him their worst secrets.

This movie revolves around a trio of brothers (including Tom Hardy and Shia LeBeouf) selling alcohol during the prohibition. Though the film is close to two hours long, it's a great movie that will keep you interested the entire time.

Starring Jared Leto, this film (which is over 2 hours) is about Nemo Nobody, the oldest living mortal left. As he lies on his deathbed, he gets to go back and relive the different routes his life could have taken. It reminds me The Butterfly Effect, but set in the future.

An odd young man starts filming gory accidents in LA for money. Lacking a sense of emotion, he starts filming some pretty questionable situations as he makes a living filming the city and its happenings in the middle of the night.

Based on a true story about two sisters who plot to murder their alcoholic mother, this film stars Abigail Breslin. It's kind of Lifetime Movie-ish, but I still enjoyed it.

With big names like Seth Rogen, Michelle Williams, and Sara Silverman, this movie will break your heart, and make you laugh. It's definitely worth the watch!

I could watch this dark comedy over and over and over again. This movie is about two scruffy brothers vacationing in the backwoods, and a group of college kids who mistake them for redneck murderers. A hilarious plot unfolds.

I wasn't sure how much I was going to like this movie, but it turned out to be a gem. It's set in the post-apocalyptic future, and is about a teenager trying to make his way through life. He makes some interesting friends, and is out to defeat an evil villain.

A few movies that are on Netflix from time-to-time that are must-sees:

A group of guys go to a small town for a bachelor party, come to find out, they town is overrun with zombies. What makes this different than other zombie flicks? All these zombies are women. Men can't carry the zombie virus, so they just die.

In this film, zombies are bought as maids. They have shock collars and will do whatever you tell them to. If their collar turns off, though, they'll seek human blood.

You are what you eat, right? In this film, if you eat what your parents tell you to eat, then that's right. You're only human.
